Optimally adapted to the precise requirements of the individual Areas of application the intelligent solutions, consisting of hoses, tubes and system parts, are available in different tightness classes. Since cable protection conduits, corrugated tubes, enclosures and screw fittings have to withstand extremely high loads in many places in industry, Lagra's cable protection systems are available in protection classes with high resistance such as IP66, IP67, IP68 and IP69K available.

Protection class designation per IP code
The degree of protection is regulated precisely according to the national and international standards DIN EN 60529 and ISO 20653:2013 and is classified by means of a specific IP code. IP stands for International Protection, but is also sometimes referred to as Ingress Protection, especially in English-speaking countries. The IP code provides information about the degree of protection that electrical equipment offers against the ingress of foreign bodies and liquids. The first code number contained in the protection class designation refers to the protection that the classified product offers against solid foreign bodies. The second indicates the extent to which it is protected against the ingress of water.

In the extensive and high-quality Product range of Lagra Systemtechnik reflects all the know-how of more than 30 years of experience in the field of cable protection technology.
The individual components as well as the complete cable protection systems are designed for use in the most diverse areas: From plant and electrical installation to the area of vehicle construction, robot construction and the Rail transport technology. Regardless of whether high-quality corrugated hoses, connecting sleeves or junction boxes are required, all products must be optimised for the requirements of the respective area of application. For this reason, Lagra attaches great importance to the resistance and IP protection type certification of its goods.
Conduit and fitting systems declared with protection class IP66 are dust-tight and protected against strong jets of water. Similar properties also distinguish protective conduits and safety fittings of the IP67 tightness class. These are also dust-tight and also offer protection against temporary immersion in water at a maximum depth of 1 metre for a duration of up to 30 minutes. On the other hand, cable protection conduits, corrugated pipes, screw fittings and flange connections are given the IP68 classification if they are dust-tight and also permanently watertight. Components for cable protection that have been awarded protection class IP69K are finally able to withstand use under the most extreme conditions. They are protected against the penetration of dust, dirt and high-temperature water even when cleaned by high-pressure and steam jets. In this case, the letter K appended to the abbreviation refers to the specific requirements applicable to road vehicles. Accordingly, cable protection and connection systems of this class are optimally suited for use in rail vehicles.
